Working Beta 2 Time is NOW!
I've gotten some really good beta's from those of you I know are still in the project. No, the MEP is NOT dead. Yes, I still plan to complete this MEP hopefully in time for Anime Central 2010, even if it means I edit all of the unclaimed tracks myself!

So, it's time for the second round of beta's!

I'm really liking the direction that some of you have taken. I would like to see some more work out of others who haven't sent anything in or have sent very little in. Get me something! I want to know you're still working on it. If not, and you don't plan on working on it anymore then let me know so I can officially drop you from the list.

Working Betas and Track Updates
Yes, we are still alive and kicking. I've gotten betas from some of you involved but quite a few have yet to provide Proof of Concepts. I will be pinging everyone shortly to ensure that you all are still committed to finishing your tracks and to get betas out of you all.

I've added a few new editors to the mix and taken off a few drops that I was able to confirm. If you're taking part of the MEP do try and get some of your friends to join.

As of this time I am debating removing the final requirement of 720p for everyone. Essentially, I want to know how many members are actually editing at 720p and how many are planning to upscale their final video. If the number of upscalers outweighs the number of native editors I will probably decide to take 480p entries as they are, as well as 720p. This by no means will require that those of you editing at 720p need to downscale your finals, I will gladly accept the 720p versions. This only means that I will plan on having a 720p and 480p release, and those of you who submit at 720p will have better looking tracks in the end as your tracks will already be at 720p and need to be upscaled to fit.

First Deadline has been Passed!
That's right, the Proof of Concept Deadline is at hand. I will be sending updates out to those of you who haven't already contacted me directly about your Beta's.

We still have 17 tracks left unspoken for. Plenty of room for new editors to join up, so grab a track and have some fun.

19 tracks left!
Alright, everyone who has requested a track that I have been able to confirm has gotten their wav for editing.

That being said, we still have room for 19 more people to jump on in. And if you haven't seen it yet, the beta dates have been pushed back to allow for more time for completion, so those of you who are worried about having too much to do right now still have plenty of extra time to complete your track.

I do however suggest that if you are wanting one you take a moment to request the track soon. I do plan to open the MEP up to it's current members to take on a second track if they desire as soon as I receive their first proof of concept beta.

Keep in mind also that these beta deadlines are a guide for how I would like everyone to progress with their track. It is there to guide you along so that you don't wind up having to whip something together at the last minute in order to get your final track in on time. That being said, you don't have to strictly abide by it, I'm not going to actually cut anyone for missing a deadline. However don't take my patience for granted. I do expect to have this thing finished, and on time for at the very least an AWA debut.

Get your requests in! And get to work! :P

First Batch of Requests Filled!
Track request should have all been sent out if accepted by now. If I missed you, let me know.

Also, make sure to continue to check back for updates on the submission deadlines, as they have already changed. This is the farthest back I wish to move these deadlines for now, as this current schedule will put us on schedule to have the final product ready for ACEN 2010. Keep in mind that I may be inclined to move the final submission date back farther if required, but only by a few more months as the latest I want to have the project finished by is AWA 2010. Do also note that while I want these beta deadlines to be strict, if for some reason you can't make one let me know and I can cut some slack where needed. There is no reason for me to cut an editor for missing one or two deadlines, just as long as you get the beta's to me!

For those of you who have been requesting more time in order to be able to do a track, think you have enough time now? (since as it stands you get an extra 4~8 months)

So I ask again, you know you wanna do it. It's Daft Punk. You love it, we love it. Join us... join us!

The site is now ready for selected release
Alright, after some work I finally have got this site up and running. I've got the track list up with links to the mp3 versions of each track as well as the full mix. I've got the guidelines up, including deadlines and such. I've got the about section and downloads up, well, as up as they can technically be.

I still have to get the links/help section up and running. Though I need to get the required help documents available, such as how to upscale footage and other important information ready.

So for now, I think we are ready for a selected release of this site, the rules, and sign up. I will post this information in #superic, PM a select group of people on the amv.org forums, and post the information to my LiveJournal for my LJ friends to see.

I also would like to get some feedback on the rules and guidelines from those in the MEP already and those who see this. I would like to know if there is anything that you all think I should alter or add. This way I can hopefully get the guidelines up and going in the most complete fashion before releasing the MEP to the .org's MEP section.

Creation of the site
With some elbow grease this site is now up. Well, the shell is up anyway. This first post is to mark the beginning of the work on filling the information into the site.

This is also a test of this news system and how it will work with the site's layout. Hopefully this wont break anything, and if it does, back to the drawing board to fix it.

Let it be known that already there are tracks that have been claimed by users:

Track 1 - ngsilver
Track 2 - LantisEscuido
Track 19 - MeteorDragon
Track 28 - ngsilver
